A partnership between Hire Heroes USA, IVMF and Hiring Our Heroes, Veterans have access to three tracks of information, a basic career transition and jobs channel, a career connections track and an entrepreneurship track. Using Google’s G+ framework, VetNet offers Hangouts with career experts, business ownership faculty, entrepreneurs and people providing general career advice. Each video hangout is archived for future viewing, and live sessions are held multiple times each week.

Syracuse University, Institute for Veterans and Military Families- Veteran Career Transition Program

Veterans and military spouses can apply for the Veteran Career Transition Program (VCTP), a tuition-free program run by Syracuse University with four tracks: technology, human resources, professional studies and independent study. Develop civilian job skills and the ability to translate military education, experience and training to the civilian workforce. 

What are the benefits of joining Veteran Jobs Mission as an employer?

What is the cost and commitment to join the Veteran Jobs Mission?

There is no cost to join the Veteran Jobs Mission and no hiring quota. Members make a commitment to hire Veterans, report Veteran hires on a quarterly basis, attend face-to-face quarterly meetings and share best practices as it relates to Veteran initiatives. Members are required to sign a memorandum of understanding which outlines the aforementioned core tenants of membership. Each new member company should strongly identify with the mission by engaging in leading employment practices in the hiring of qualified Veterans.

Why a Coalition?

Individually, organizations have been successful in recruiting military talent for many years. Creating collaborative working relationships with other like-minded companies to share leading practices has and will continue to make a positive impact on our collective hiring efforts. A coalition also creates a formal mechanism through which to share knowledge and talent.
